Already after the conference!

And already after the conference! First in Poland International Conference about the art of d/Deaf artists in the world already behind us! Co-organizers of our unique undertaking were: Zachęta - National Gallery of Art in Warsaw - famous and one from most prestigious museum of the modern art in Poland and the Foundation Culture without Barriers.

What did the conference show? Above all need of the conversation about the art and the involvement in the culture of d/Deaf persons. Participants and presenters arrived from Europe to the conference, among others from Croatia, Romania, France, Lithuania. They shared with their artistic experience and the organization of cultural events for d/Deaf.

Our event also showed need of creating and the record of history of art of d/Deaf. Conference lectures demonstrated, that art d/Deaf is various and needs comprehensive analysis and the historical context in the light of the more and more conscious move d/Deaf towards breaking barriers in world of hearing.

We thank participants, presenters, interpreters and volunteers for being with us, help with the organization of this pioneering conference!
